Basketball Recap: Evansville Memorial Comes Up Short

Evansville Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 55-42 to the Evansville Reitz Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Panthers are ranked 40th).

Bailey Hape continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Evansville Reitz, going 5 for 10 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. Hape's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kierstyn Kaiser, who posted ten points and three steals.

Evansville Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Evansville Reitz, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which somehow still isn't as good as their 17-5 record this season.

Evansville Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Evansville Reitz has already played their next contest (against Evansville Harrison), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
