Volleyball Recap: Conway Springs' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Conway Springs lost against Pratt back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cardinals fell 2-0 to the Greenbacks. The Cardinals' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Pratt scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21.

Lairen Pauly paced Conway Springs' offense, picking up nine kills. Pauly got some help from Lanie Hartman and her 20 assists. Pauly was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Conway Springs' loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Pratt, their victory ended a seven-match drought on the road and puts them at 11-16.

Conway Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Collegiate on the 4th. As for Pratt, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Pretty Prairie on the 4th.
