Softball Recap: Desert Scorpions vs. Kern Valley Broncs

Desert lost against Kern Valley back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Scorpions came up short against the Broncs, falling 15-5. The Scorpions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alayna Phillips was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and 12 unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
