Basketball Recap: IMG Academy White Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the IMG Academy White Ascenders were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-45 to the North Fort Myers Red Knights. The Ascenders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chance Taylor was a one-man wrecking crew for North Fort Myers as he went 5 of 12 en route to 15 points and six boards. That's the most points Taylor has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Khalid Bourne, who posted nine points.

IMG Academy White's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for North Fort Myers, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-14 record.

IMG Academy White has already played their next contest, an 84-50 loss against Charlotte on the 31st. As for North Fort Myers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-51 win against Dunbar on the 31st.
