Basketball Recap: Covenant Takes a Loss

On Monday, the Covenant Knights took a blow against the Dallas HSAA Angels, falling 75-17. The matchup marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dallas HSAA's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but MiaGrace Delahoz led the charge by going 8 for 11 on her way to 21 points in addition to six assists and three steals. The contest was Delahoz's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessi Yarbrough, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten steals.

Covenant's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Dallas HSAA, their win bumped their record up to 14-2.

Covenant will host McKinney Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dallas HSAA, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Greenhill at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
