Basketball Recap: Union Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Union came tearing into Saturday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Nyssa Bulldogs by a score of 57-44. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Bulldogs are ranked 131st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Union pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Nyssa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Union will face off against Grant Union at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Nyssa, they will take on Amity at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Amity will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Nyssa surely won't give up without a fight.
