Soccer Recap: Valley Forge Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bedford last Thursday, Valley Forge came back down to earth. The Patriots lost 9-0 to the Rocky River Pirates on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for Valley Forge in their meetings with Rocky River: they've now lost eight in a row.

Valley Forge's loss dropped their record down to 2-2-2. As for Rocky River, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-2-1 record this season.

Valley Forge didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Holy Name on the 6th. As for Rocky River, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 5-1 win against Midview on the 6th.
