Volleyball Recap: Riverside Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Riverside hadn't done well against J.L. Mann recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Warriors came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 2-0. The game was the first time the Warriors have beaten the Patriots on their court since August 15, 2018.

While Riverside won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19.

Nevaeh Hays paced Riverside's offense, picking up five kills. Hays got some help from Corinne Christopher and her five assists. Christopher was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Riverside pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Riverside and J.L. Mann will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Warriors see the court they'll take on St. Joseph's Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on the 26th. As for J.L. Mann, their break will end when they face Southside Christian at 5:30 p.m. on the 26th.
