Volleyball Recap: Calaveras Victorious

Calaveras picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the El Camino Eagles.

Among those leading the charge was Isabelle Saiers, who had 15 digs and two assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last three times she's played. Alexa Ortega also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Calaveras was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in three consecutive matches.

Calaveras now has a winning record of 5-4. As for El Camino, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Coincidentally, Calaveras and El Camino will both be playing Rosemont the next time they take the court. The Red Hawks will head out to face the Wolverines at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
