Round Valley waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Alchesay Falcons as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.
Round Valley was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-3.
Leading Round Valley to victory were Kylar Penrod and Skyler Hevener. Penrod had five digs and two aces, while Hevener had six digs and three aces. Hevener has been hot, having posted three or more aces the last five times she's played. Bren Finch also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Round Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in ten consecutive matchups.
Round Valley's record is now 23-8. As for Alchesay, they dropped their record down to 4-19 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Looking ahead, Round Valley will head out to face off against Hopi at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alchesay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
