Basketball Recap: South Comes Up Short

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Campbell County Camels and fell 75-26. The Bison were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-11.

Campbell County had a senior duo take command as Kaylie Neary went 8 of 12 en route to 21 points and three steals and Lauren Kuhbacher went 5 for 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. Kuhbacher is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Bella Stewart was another key player, as she made all 5 shots she took racking up 10 points and six rebounds.

South's record is now 0-12. As for Campbell County, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-5.

South has already played their next matchup (against Sheridan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Campbell County has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Laramie.
