Basketball Game Preview: Bethany Christian vs. Fellowship Baptist Academy Falcons

Bethany Christian is returning to their home court after beating Bloomfield Christian School on theirs, despite the fact Bloomfield Christian School has dominated at home this season. Bethany Christian skirted past Bloomfield Christian School 46-43. Given Bethany Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while Bloomfield Christian School is ranked 526th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bethany Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luca Halalau, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Halalau's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Nathaniel Byers, who posted 13 points and six assists.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fellowship Baptist Academy). They blew past Juniata Christian 74-49 on Friday. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 25 points or more this season.

Fellowship Baptist Academy's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.1 points over those games. As for Bethany Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
