Baseball Recap: Emery/Weiner Comes Up Short

Emery/Weiner extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 9-16-2. They came up short against the Bay Area Christian Broncos, falling 14-4. Emery/Weiner was not able to make up for their defeat to Bay Area Christian from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Emery/Weiner saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Kalmin, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

As for Bay Area Christian, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9-1. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Bay Area Christian's side, Nolan Thorp tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up four earned runs off three hits. Thorp has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bay Area Christian let Owen Mann and Beau Bradley run wild. Mann went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI, while Bradley went 2-for-3 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave Bradley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Benjamin Bailey, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

While Emery/Weiner had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
