Basketball Recap: Greenville Green Wave vs. Sidney Yellowjackets
Greenville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 72-62 to the Sidney Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-44 back in January.
Despite the loss, Greenville still got an impressive performance from Drew Hamilton, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Layne Hocker, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.
Greenville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Sidney, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Looking ahead, Greenville will welcome Trotwood-Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trotwood-Madison will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Greenville surely won't give up without a fight. Sidney does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
