The Tocoi Creek Toros will take on the Fleming Island Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Tocoi Creek: 3.2, Fleming Island: 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Tocoi Creek had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Menendez on Friday. Tocoi Creek was the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Menendez. The game marked the Toros' most dominant win of the season so far.

Ryleigh Williams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. She also put up a hit, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Camdyn Hunt, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Skye Fourman was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Tocoi Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Menendez only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, Fleming Island got themselves on the board against Flagler Palm Coast on Friday, but Flagler Palm Coast never followed suit. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 4-0.
Not much got past Brooke Wilson, who gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Flagler Palm Coast off the board.
On the hitting side, Lauren Abram was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Tocoi Creek's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-1. As for Fleming Island, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Tocoi Creek has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Fleming Island struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
