 Brandon Academy has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Bayshore Christian Faith Warriors at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
 Brandon Academy put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season  on Thursday. They claimed a resounding  62-32 win over Academy at the Lakes at home. Winning is a bit easier when  you outrebound your opponent 18 to 7 on the offensive boards, as Brandon Academy did.
  Shavon Birch and  Jeremiah McNeely were among the main playmakers for Brandon Academy as the former  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and 14  rebounds and the latter  scored 14 points along with five  rebounds and four  steals. Birch hasn't dropped below eight  rebounds for 15 straight games.  Will Hawes was another key contributor,  scoring seven points along with six  rebounds.
 Meanwhile,  two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bayshore Christian walked away with it. They breezed by the Falcons on the road  to the tune of  75-34 on Tuesday. Bayshore Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
  Jace Jreisat continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines,  scoring 27 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's  now  scored 15 or more in the last six games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tylan Lewis, who  scored 19 points.
 Brandon Academy is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season. As for Bayshore Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-19.
 Everything went Brandon Academy's way against Bayshore Christian when the teams last played  back in December of 2023 as Brandon Academy made off with a  64-40 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was   Jreisat, who  scored 18 points. Now that he's  got a second chance to win this matchup, will Brandon Academy still be able to contain  Jreisat? There's only one way to find out.
