There's no place like home for Jackson Heights, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the St. Marys Bears on Monday. The Cobras were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Bears, so the Cobras were just returning the favor.

Jackson Heights easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-20.

Brynn Shupe paced Jackson Heights' offense, picking up eight kills. Shupe got some help from Madi Bacon and her 16 assists. Shupe was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Jackson Heights' victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 17-22. As for St. Marys, they dropped their record down to 2-36 with the loss, which was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Jackson Heights nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
