Softball Recap: Redwater Has No Trouble Against Queen City

Redwater barely beat Queen City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dragons blew past the Bulldogs 11-1 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Dragons needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Redwater let Avenley Fisk and Laney Johnson run wild. Fisk went 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Johnson scored a run while going 1-for-3. Those three RBI gave Fisk a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ella Calhoon, who scored two runs.

Redwater's win bumped their record up to 7-14-1. As for Queen City, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-15.

Coming up, Redwater will head out to take on Hooks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Dragons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Queen City, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against De Kalb at 5:00 p.m. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
