Volleyball Recap: Desert Mountain Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Desert Mountain had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Campo Verde on Thursday. The Wolves blew past the Coyotes 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Wolves sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

While Desert Mountain might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Campo Verde scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18, 25-23.

Mia Archibald had an outrageously good game as she had 23 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Desert Mountain was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive contests.

Despite the defeat, Campo Verde saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kendal Kellar had 11 digs and one assist.

Desert Mountain's win bumped their record up to 14-22. As for Campo Verde, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-19 record this season.

Desert Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Campo Verde, they will square off against Desert Edge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
