Volleyball Recap: Sahuaro Cougars vs. Pueblo Warriors
Sahuaro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pueblo Warriors. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
Luis Del-Valle Lizarraga paced Sahuaro's offense, picking up four kills. Del-Valle Lizarraga got some help from Javier De La Ree and his 15 assists. Damien Ritter controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Sahuaro's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Pueblo, they moved to 3-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Sahuaro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Flowing Wells on the 8th. As for Pueblo, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Canyon del Oro on the 8th.
