Volleyball Game Preview: Hampton Hornets vs. Spalding Jaguars

The Hampton Hornets will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Spalding Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Hampton and nine for Spalding.

On Tuesday, Hampton came up short against Ola and fell 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-13.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Spalding took on Whitewater on Tuesday. The Jaguars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-9.

Spalding's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Hampton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.

Hampton took their victory against Spalding in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
