Softball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Comes Up Short

Mt. Pleasant lost against Gunderson back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cardinals came up short against the Grizzlies, falling 17-2. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mt. Pleasant saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Inez Zamora, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Mt. Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Gunderson, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mt. Pleasant will challenge rival Overfelt at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Gunderson is set to face off against their familiar foe Evergreen Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
