Basketball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Millbrook Pioneers, falling 92-71. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-44 back in January.

Liberty's record now sits at 6-10. As for Millbrook, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Liberty Eagles face off against the Fauquier Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fauquier has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 217 points over their last three contests. As for Millbrook, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Skyline at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyline will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Millbrook surely won't give up without a fight.
