Baseball Recap: McKean Comes Up Short

McKean lost against Hodgson Vo-Tech back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Highlanders fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2.

McKean saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Erbayri, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

McKean has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8-1 record this season. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Coming up, McKean will head out on the road to face off against Delmarva Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Highlanders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dickinson at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
