Softball Game Preview: Brighton Bruins vs. Webster Thomas Titans

The Brighton Bruins will take on the Webster Thomas Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brighton has given up an average of 13 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Brighton's last matchup with Fairport could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Bruins lost 26-8 to the Red Raiders. On the bright side, the eight- run performance marked the Bruins' highest-scoring contest to date.

Webster Thomas came out on top against Victor on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Titans were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Blue Devils. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won three in a row.

Brighton dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Webster Thomas, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Brighton suffered a grim 16-4 defeat to Webster Thomas when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
