Volleyball Game Preview: Regina Dominican Panthers vs. Amundsen Vikings

The Regina Dominican Panthers will square off against the Amundsen Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Wednesday, Regina Dominican came up short against Westmont and fell 2-0.

Regina Dominican was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly three points. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Amundsen also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Jones by a score of 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-17.

Amundsen has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 16 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season. As for Regina Dominican, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Regina Dominican couldn't quite get it done against Amundsen when the teams last played back in September of 2023 as they fell 2-0. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
