Maywood Academy won against Maywood CES last Friday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Nighthawks never let the Elizabeth Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Nighthawks, who have now won 11 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Maywood Academy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.9 runs over those games. As for Elizabeth, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

Maywood Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
