Recap: Sioux Valley Cossacks vs. Hot Springs Bison
After a string of nine wins, The Sioux Valley Cossacks''s good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 49-13 loss at the hands of Hot Springs.
Hot Springs had a senior duo take command as Braden Peterson rushed for 204 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries and Camron Maciejewski gained 168 total yards and three touchdowns. Peterson's longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards.
Sioux Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-1. As for Hot Springs, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-1.
Sioux Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hot Springs will look to defend their home field on Friday against Rapid City Christian at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Dakota (Rapid City Christian is ranked 16th, while Hot Springs is ranked seventh).
