Baseball Recap: Meyersdale Takes a Loss

If Meyersdale was feeling good fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Forbes Road on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Raiders fell just short of the Everett Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in April.

Aiden Thomas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

At the plate, Cole Yoder was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meyersdale's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Everett, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Meyersdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Everett, they will face off against Shalom Christian Academy at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Flames will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
