Volleyball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Hackett

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shiloh Christian, Hackett was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the South Side Hornet with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Hornets not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 25th (when they won 3-0).

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hackett took every set by at least 19 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-3, 25-5.

Michaelyn Freeman paced Hackett's offense, picking up 13 kills. Freeman got some help from Catelyn Edwards and her 22 assists. Freeman also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kali Reather, each putting up seven.

Hackett pushed their record up to 17-5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for South Side, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Coming up, Hackett will face off against Pea Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Side, they will head out on the road to square off against Guy-Perkins at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
