Football Game Preview: Windsor Warriors vs. Conard Red Wolves + Official Tickets

After each having a week off, the Windsor Warriors and the Conard Red Wolves will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Windsor is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Windsor is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Enfield, posting a 52-7 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Eagles are ranked 74th).

Anthony Robinson produced another solid performance throwing for 329 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes, and also rushing for 35 yards and one score. Those 35 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Robert McKinney was another key player, rushing for 103 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Windsor's run defense was locked in: Enfield could only muster 3.5 yards per carry. While four picked up at least two total tackles, McKinney stood above the rest. He rushed for 103 yards and one score on only eight carries. Windsor didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.6.

Meanwhile, Conard played a tough contest last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against South Windsor, falling 50-26. The Red Wolves were down 42-20 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Windsor's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Conard, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Everything came up roses for Windsor against Conard when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-14 victory. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Red Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
