Recap: Monroe Central Golden Bears vs. Shenandoah Raiders
The Monroe Central Golden Bears won against the Shenandoah Raiders on Saturday with 43 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Monroe Central enjoyed a cozy 43-24 victory over Shenandoah. Winning may never get old, but Monroe Central sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Kimber Abshear was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now blocked two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addy Puckett, who scored 11 points.
Monroe Central has yet to lose a game on the road this season, leaving them with a 7-2 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.33 points. As for Shenandoah, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Monroe Central will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Yorktown at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Yorktown is ranked 110th, while Monroe Central is ranked 125th). As for Shenandoah, they will head out on the road to face off against Muncie Burris at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
