Preview: Boonville Pioneers vs. North Posey Vikings
The Boonville Pioneers will be home for the holidays to greet the North Posey Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Boonville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while North Posey is ranked 137th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-36, which was the final score in Boonville's tilt against Evansville Christian on Friday. Boonville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, North Posey had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They put the hurt on Crawford County with a sharp 52-31 win.
Boonville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for North Posey, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Boonville was able to grind out a solid victory over North Posey when the teams last played back in November of 2022, winning 79-66. Will Boonville repeat their success, or does North Posey have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
