Central Valley is 2-8 against Yreka since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:30 p.m. Central Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.

Joleen Short made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.

Central Valley's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-7. As for Yreka, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.
