Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cardinal Mooney). They enjoyed a cozy 75-58 win over the Winthrop College Prep Academy Spartans on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Cardinal Mooney's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sam Reindel, who made all 6 shots he took racking up 16 points and eight rebounds. What's more, Reindel also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Jamaal George, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 15 points and five steals.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kai Brookins, who posted 20 points. Jaiden Martin was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points.

Cardinal Mooney's record now sits at 11-1. As for Winthrop College Prep Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Cardinal Mooney wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-57 victory against Venice on the 4th. As for Winthrop College Prep Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-71 defeat against Bradenton Christian on the 4th.
