Baseball Recap: Army-Navy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bonsall last Tuesday, Army-Navy came back down to earth. Army-Navy came up short against the Rio Hondo Prep Kares on Thursday, falling 10-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 19-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Nolan Mandell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Army-Navy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Rio Hondo Prep, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

While Army-Navy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
