Baseball Game Preview: Bluegrass United Bluehawks vs. Assumption Academy

Bluegrass United has gone a perfect 3-0 against Assumption Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Bluehawks will be playing in front of their home fans against Assumption Academy at 1:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Bluegrass United didn't have quite enough to beat Western Hills and fell 7-6.

Bluegrass United saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Hawkins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one run. Another was Hayden Westfall, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Assumption Academy came up short against Christian Educational Consortium on Friday, falling 19-3. Assumption Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Assumption Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bluegrass United, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Everything went Bluegrass United's way against Assumption Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2022, as Bluegrass United made off with a 12-2 win. Will the Bluehawks repeat their success, or do Assumption Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
