Soccer Game Preview: Lewis & Clark vs. Central Valley

The Lewis & Clark Tigers will square off against the Central Valley Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Lewis & Clark fought the good fight in their overtime match against Gonzaga Prep on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bullpups by a score of 1-0. One thing that didn't help Lewis & Clark's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Tyler Reed.

Meanwhile, Central Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Mt. Spokane who was credited with the win. The Wildcats got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Central Valley's two.

Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Lewis & Clark, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1-1.

Lewis & Clark beat Central Valley by a goal in their previous matchup back in March, winning 2-1. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
