Northern waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Lackey Chargers 15-1. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Chargers, too.

Jack Bisang looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

On the hitting side, Northern let Dylan Rice and Miles Halbert run wild. Rice went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Halbert scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Halbert has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tony Holson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Northern always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Northern's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lackey, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
