Baseball Recap: Tantasqua Regional Extends Home Winning Streak to 12

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dennis-Yarmouth Regional, Tantasqua Regional was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Southbridge Pioneers a 10-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won six in a row.

Jack Blood looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brandon Phillips, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was his first of the season. Giulio Papandrea was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

Tantasqua Regional's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.
