R-S Central was the 5-2 winner over Crest when they last played one another back in April of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Hilltoppers wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Their defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

R-S Central's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Crest, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

R-S Central will be playing at home against Brevard at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Blue Devils have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Crest, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 7-3 win against Kings Mountain on the 22nd.
