Volleyball Recap: Salisbury Comes Up Short

Salisbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lexington Senior Yellowjackets. Hornets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Yellowjackets since Wednesday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Salisbury sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 19-25, 25-10, 20-25, 15-11.

Salisbury's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Lexington Senior, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Salisbury didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Carson on the 18th. As for Lexington Senior, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Atkins on the 18th.
