Softball Game Preview: Gonzaga Prep Bullpups vs. Lewis & Clark Tigers

The Gonzaga Prep Bullpups will take on the Lewis & Clark Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gonzaga Prep is looking for their season's first win.

Gonzaga Prep lost 18-3 to Ferris on Wednesday.

Gonzaga Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abrihet Epps, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Lewis & Clark hadn't done well against Cheney recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Tigers came out on top against the Blackhawks by a score of 14-10.

Rhiannon Kilgore was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Heister, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

Lewis & Clark always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Gonzaga Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Lewis & Clark, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Gonzaga Prep might still be hurting after the 21-11 defeat they got from Lewis & Clark when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Bullpups avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
