Football Recap: Bethune-Bowman Comes Up Short

Bethune-Bowman fell victim to Baptist Hill and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Bobcats and fell 52-0. The Mohawks haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Baptist Hill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kilyn Gordon led the charge by rushing for 57 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while also picking up 44 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Brayden Franklin was another key passer, throwing for 104 yards and three TDs.

Bethune-Bowman's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Baptist Hill, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Bethune-Bowman wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 28-8 win against Military Magnet Academy on the 26th. As for Baptist Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-7 victory against First Baptist School on the 26th.
