Recap: East Bernard Brahmas vs. Clifton Cubs
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the East Bernard Brahmas had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 55-6 victory over Clifton. Considering East Bernard has won seven games by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Despite the loss, Clifton still got an impressive performance from Riley Finney, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Finney was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 67 yards.
The win was the sixth in a row for East Bernard, bringing their record for this year to 8-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.7 points per game. As for Clifton, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
East Bernard will square off against Poth at TBD on Friday. One thing working in Poth's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last six matches. Clifton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
