The Algoma Wolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Chilton Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
Things were looking good for Algoma after they put the first runs on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Seymour.
Meanwhile, while Chilton put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Winnebago Lutheran Academy. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Vikings.
Lauren Roehrig was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Roehrig was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gwendolyn Sell, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Sophia Pingel, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
