Football Game Preview: Camden Central Lions vs. Sycamore War Eagles + How To Watch

Camden Central is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Sycamore a four-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Camden Central Lions will host the Sycamore War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Camden Central put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They breezed past Cheatham County Central to the tune of 41-7. The win was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Sycamore hadn't done well against Fairview recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The War Eagles pulled ahead with a 31-30 photo finish over the Yellowjackets.

Camden Central better keep an eye on Hicks Hunter. He was instrumental in Sycamore's win, rushing for 135 yards and one touchdown, while also throwing for 15 yards and one TD. Hunter's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 11th straight game with at least 122 rushing yards dating back to last season. Cody Scalf was another key player, having thrown for 307 yards and two touchdowns.

Sycamore's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Camden Central, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Camden Central beat Sycamore 24-17 in their previous meeting back in October of 2020. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the War Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
