Meanwhile, Golden View Classical Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by SkyView Academy 47-16. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Golden View Classical Academy in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Golden View Classical Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jocelyn Le scored seven points along with 14 rebounds.
Ascent Classical Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Golden View Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
Ascent Classical Academy took a serious blow against the Sentinels in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, falling 45-5. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ascent Classical Academy was down 27-5.
