Soccer Recap: Maranatha Christian Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Orange Glen, Maranatha Christian was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They beat the Bishop's Knights by a goal, winning 3-2. Ryan Falk had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble the Eagles got from the refs.

Maranatha Christian hit Bishop's with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Will Wise, Luca Pahler, and Falk.

Maranatha Christian's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 8-6-1. As for Bishop's, they dropped their record down to 5-6-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Maranatha Christian wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-2 defeat against La Jolla Country Day on the 31st. As for Bishop's, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-2 loss against Escondido Charter on the 31st.
