Volleyball Recap: Woodland Extends Winning Streak to Three

Woodland waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Stockbridge Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolfpack also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.

Woodland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kierston George, who had 11 digs and six aces. Toni Benefield was another key player, getting nine digs and six aces.

They weren't the only good server: Woodland was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Woodland's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Stockbridge, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Woodland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Clarkston on the 16th. As for Stockbridge, they will venture away from home to take on Luella at 7:30 p.m. on the 21st.
